3. Clinical assessment
At your clinic appointment, Puneet will assess your symptoms and the affected area.
Your diagnosis, medical history, previous treatment and individual circumstances will all be considered.
4.Discuss your options
If an injection may be appropriate, you will be given clear information about the treatment, expected benefits, limitations, risks and alternatives.
You will have the opportunity to ask questions before deciding whether to proceed.
5. Treatment if appropriate
Where injection therapy is clinically appropriate and you are happy to proceed, the treatment can be carried out during your appointment.
Your treatment will always be based on your individual clinical assessment.

WHAT ARE THE RISKS?

A hot, swollen joint accompanied by fever or feeling unwell can require urgent medical assessment rather than an elective injection appointment.
